2011 and a huge year in NZ Politics, we are heading to another election with many people thinking this is one of the most important, most interesting elections in a very long time.
We 'threw out' a Labour led Government 3 years ago in favour of a conservative led National Government. That National led Government has since day one created controversy with appointments, legislative decisions, and coalition partners especially in the union with the traditionally left Maori Party.
All money right now is on for the National Party to continue to lead the country into and beyond this years election, however there does seem to be a bit of an undercurrent of discontent with the status quo, surprising after only 3 years.
This website and corresponding weekly podcast featuring myself, Greg Flemming from Maxim and Sue Bradford, will look into the weekly political ongoings from our left, center and right perspectives both locally and internationally. It will feature guest and other commentators at times to help us all get through this election year as informed as we possibly can.
